Research on Developing of a Reconfigurable Gripping Mechanism with Electric Drive

Abstract The paper consists in analyzing some of the researches on specialized literature regarding to gripping systems and proposing a new solution for mechanism that can fulfill increasing requirements imposed by flexible manufacturing orientation positioning parts with variable shape dimensions. Some general consideration state art field are presented main development direction indicated. second part contains gripper constructive solution. From analysis requirement system is multi-tasking ability. proposed designed uses four parallel open-close jaws/fingers controlled two electric motors. actuation clamping accomplished primary motor. contribution/improvement refers introducing second/supplementary motor used movement position jaws order transform from four-jaw construction two-jaw vice versa, thus range clamped parts.
